Delete your CreatorHive account

This page explains how to delete your CreatorHive account and what happens to your data. It applies to the creatorhive.app website and to the CreatorHive app for Android, iPhone and iPad: it is the same account, and deleting it closes it everywhere.

How to request deletion

From the app

  1. Open Profile → Privacy & data → Delete account.
  2. Type your username to confirm and tap Delete my account.

From the website

  1. Sign in at creatorhive.app.
  2. Open Advanced Options → Account Settings (direct link).
  3. At the bottom of the page, in the Delete account section, click Request account deletion.
  4. Type your username to confirm and click Delete my account.

Either way, all open sessions, on the website and in the app, end immediately.

Without signing in

If you can no longer sign in, write to privacy@creatorhive.app from the email address of the account, stating your username. We may ask you to confirm, to make sure the request comes from the account holder. We reply within one month, as required by Art. 12 GDPR.

30 days to change your mind

Deletion becomes final 30 days after the request. In the meantime the account is suspended and you can cancel the request: sign in to the app and tap Cancel deletion, or sign in on the website and click Cancel deletion in Account Settings. After 30 days the data is deleted automatically.

What is deleted

  • Password and two-step verification (authenticator app secret and backup codes).
  • First name, last name, date of birth and address.
  • Profile picture.
  • Creator profile: bio, business email and profile link.
  • Phones registered for push notifications.
  • Notifications and notification preferences.

After deletion the account can no longer be accessed.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Username and email: kept for up to 10 years, as evidence of the sponsorship agreements made with the account (Art. 17(3)(b) and (e) GDPR).
  • Sponsorships, content and statistics: they belong to the organization you worked with, which holds the rights. They are kept for the duration of the contractual relationship plus tax obligations (10 years).
  • Security and access logs: kept for 24 months, for the security of the service (generic logs: 60 days).

Delete some data

You don’t need to delete your account to remove some data:

  • your profile details (name, picture, bio and the rest) can be changed at any time in the app, in Profile → Your profile, or on the website, in Profile settings (avatar menu);
  • for any other data, write to privacy@creatorhive.app stating which data you want deleted. We reply within one month.
